Do you want to attend the social event of the summer?  If so, get your ball gowns and dress shoes ready for the County Mayor’s Mid-Summer Charity Ball, on June 10th.
The glamorous event, which will be hosted by County Mayor Cllr. Séamus McGrath and sponsored by The Kingsley, Ruden Homes and media partners The Irish Examiner, is a night of fine food, music and fundraising for six very worthy local Cork charities.
The stunning bright foyer of County Hall, which is normally a bustling hub of policy making and administration, will be transformed into an exclusive ballroom for one night only with 500 people expected to attend.
Speaking at the launch of the ball, Mayor McGrath said, “I am honoured to have the opportunity to host this prestigious event at County Hall, and am keen that business, tourism, cultural and community representatives from around the County will come out in support of the night, which will greatly benefit the six very worthy charities.”
“I would also like to sincerely thank our main sponsor, The Kingsley.  We are also grateful to our fantastic associate sponsors Ruden Homes, Irish Examiner, Conor Hyde, Stonewell Cider and Brook Catering, whose support has been invaluable and will ensure that the night will be a memorable occasion”, he continued.

Fergal Harte, General Manager of The Kingsley said of their affiliation with the charity ball “The Kingsley as part of Fota Collection are delighted to partner with the County Mayor in the hosting of his Mid-Summer Charity Ball. The event will be an elegant and prestigious affair with all the movers and shakers of Cork in attendance so it was a perfect fit for our hotel.”
Ruden Homes said at the media launch “We are pleased to be associated with the County Mayor’s Charitable Ball and the six very worthy and deserving causes that benefit from this event. It’s important at every opportunity to support the voluntary efforts of all the people who give of their time generously.”
Representatives from all of the charities have expressed their appreciation at having been selected by the County Mayor as a beneficiary and hope that people will come out in support of the event, which will be of great assistance in supporting the wonderful work done by each group.
