ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 2004

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 10 (1) of the Road Traffic Act 2004, as amended, that a Road Works Speed Limit Order has been made in the interests of road safety and to facilitate civil works to lay ducting for the installation of public lighting and ITS System.

Location: on sections of N8 Tivoli Dual Carriageway, Cork – Westbound & Eastbound carriageways as detailed hereunder:

N8 – Westbound on Tivoli Dual Carriageway - introduce a 60kph speed limit, at the existing 100kph speed limit sign,{i.e. 103m west of Dunkettle Roundabout on the westbound carriageway} for a distance of 996m in a westerly direction to the commencement of the existing 60kph sign, {i.e. 18m further west of the layby on N8 Tivoli Dual Carriageway}.

N8 – Eastbound on Tivoli Dual Carriageway - introduce a 60kph speed limit at the existing 100kph speed limit sign {located at the eastern side of the junction at Burkes Hill} for a distance of 848m in an easterly direction to the commencement of Existing 60 kph sign {located 96m west of the Dunkette Roundabout}.

The Road Works Speed Limit to be applied shall be 60km/h (reduced from 100km/h)

This speed limit applies from 8.30 p.m. on 2^nd October 2017 to 05.30 a.m. on 1^st December, 2017 or such earlier date as determined by Cork County Council.

Relevant speed limit signs will be in place.

Regard shall be given to any representations made in writing to Roads Department, Cork County Council, The Courthouse, Skibbereen, Co.Cork, in relation to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
