A new Relief Road designed to provide a safer environment for cyclists and pedestrians has been officially opened in Carrigaline by the Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr. Danny Collins, Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD and Chief Executive of Cork County Council, Tim Lucey.

It was a historic occasion for Co Cork this morning as Irish Water, in partnership with Cork County Council, officially opened four new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facilities following a €27m investment to safeguard the environment and support a sustainable future for the locality. 

Cork County Council is delighted to announce the return of its annual Reuse Republic event which has not taken place in recent years due to Covid. This year’s event takes place in IRD Duhallow in Newmarket on Tuesday 25th October 2022 from 2-7pm. 

The new homes, delivered by the Land Development Agency (LDA) are located in Clonmore, Ballyviniter, Mallow, Co Cork, in a joint project with Cork County Council which will manage the application process with prospective buyers and the well-known developers the O’Flynn Group.

A new walkway is the latest addition to Kanturk town, complementing the new library, the new town park playground, the new link road and the new fire station.
