Kinsale Museum
Located in the centre of the town, the Cork County Council owned Kinsale Museum is dedicated to telling the history of Kinsale and the surrounding area. Housed in a 400-year-old market house, the museum displays an eclectic collection of artefacts and oddities.
Covering important national and international events such as the 1601 Battle of Kinsale and the sinking of the Lusitania, the inquest of which was held in the museum building, the museum also explores local maritime history and the curious story of the Kinsale Giant.
