Statement from Mayor of the County of Cork Cllr Frank O’Flynn

The Met Eireann Orange Rainfall warning, which has just expired, has resulted in a months’ worth of rain falling in just 24 hours. This is on top of already saturated lands and high river levels. It is evidence, if any were needed, of our changing climate and the issues that it presents.

Status Orange Rainfall Warning for Cork 

A Met Éireann Status Orange Rain warning for Cork will come into effect tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 6am and will remain in effect until 6.00pm Wednesday morning. Spells of heavy rain with blustery east to southeast winds at times may lead to localised flooding, poor visibility, difficult driving conditions and possible wave overtopping at high tide. 

The ‘All in A Day’s Work’ campaign was formally launched by Neale Richmond, T.D Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail and combines three business support programmes, including Lean for Business, Green for Business, and Digital for Business. “All in a Day’s Work Campaign” Launched to Assist Small Businesses in Cork County

Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Offices have announced a new campaign aimed at helping small businesses to save, time, money and energy. The ‘All in a Day’s Work’ campaign was formally launched by Neale Richmond, T.D Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail and combines three business support programmes, including Lean for Business, Green for Business, and Digital for Business.
