Idir cheol, amharc-ealaíona, amharclannaíocht agus cheardaíocht tá pléisiúr i ndán do Chontae Chorcaí sa 120 imeacht a bheidh ar siúl le linn Oíche Chultúir 2024. Tá Oíche Chultúir Chontae Chorcaí ar an bhfód le 19 mbliana anois le tacaíocht ón gComhairle Ealaíon agus ó Chomhairle Contae Chorcaí agus is deis uathúil í do phobail teacht le chéile agus ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar na himeachtaí éagsúla a chuirfear ar fáil ina gceantair.

‘Living but a Day: Dear Readers’ Exhibition at LHQ Gallery

Living but a Day: Dear Readers by Cork artist and PhD researcher Chloe Austin (she/her) is an exhibition about LGBT+ and feminist archival material. The exhibition features artefacts from the archives telling stories of cross border collaborations between feminist groups and opens at Cork County Council’s LHQ Gallery on the 31st of July to coincide with Cork LGBT+ Pride festival.

Free Activities for Children in Cork County Libraries this Summer

Cork County Council’s Library and Arts Service has launched a series of free events for children in libraries across the county as part of its Summer Arts Programme. The events take place throughout July and August and include Road Dahl-inspired science workshops, puppet shows and comic creating for older children and teenagers.

The Ties that Bind Music and Culture From Belfast to Ballydehob

As part of Creative Ireland’s ‘Creative Communities on a Shared Island’ initiative, two of Ireland’s best known intimate music venues from opposite corners of the island – Levis’ Corner House, Ballydehob and The Duncairn, Belfast - have teamed up to explore their mutual creative links in a project called ‘The Ties that Bind’.

Cork County Council is inviting applications from Irish traditional musicians for the position of ‘Sliabh Luachra Musician in Residence’. The area, which covers parts of Northwest Cork, East Kerry and West Limerick, is recognised nationally and internationally for its traditional Irish music, song, dance, poetry and culture.
