Notice to Mariners No. 8 of 2022
To all ship owners, shipmasters, agents, fishing vessels, pleasure craft users, seafarers, fishery organisations and general port users.
Port of Kinsale
Bandon River Small Craft Route
Mariners are advised that, under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme 2021, a Small Craft Route will be developed to encourage small recreation crafts to explore the Bandon River Estuary.
The project/route will initially consist of;
1. Navigational marking of the channel between Kinsale and Kilmacsimon.
2. Provision of a seasonal landing pontoon at Kilmacsimon.
a. It is the intention to have completed the initial project by May 2022
