Cork County Council Update Following Fire in Midleton - 12.45pm

Cork County Fire Service remain at the scene of a fire at a commercial recycling facility at Knockgriffin, Midleton.

Six appliances from Midleton and Cobh Fire Brigades attended the incident at the height of the fire and crews are continuing to monitor the scene.

Cork County Council Statement Following Overnight Fire in Midleton

Cork County Fire Service was tasked to a fire at a commercial recycling facility at Knockgriffin, Midleton just after midnight today (Friday 18 April 2025).

Six appliances from Midleton and Cobh Fire Brigades attended the incident, four units from Midleton and two from Cobh.

The fire was brought under control at approximately 04:00am. There are no reported injuries.
