Prior Warning Notices - Water Quality at many Beaches in the County may be Affected by Heavy Rainfall this Evening (Friday 18th August)

Recently updated weather forecasts indicate that water quality at many beaches in the county may be affected by heavy rainfall this evening (Friday 18th August) and over the weekend. In accordance with regulation and protocol, Prior Warning notices will be issued at the beaches listed below. The Prior Warning notices will be issued today and will be effective until Thursday 24th August.. Subject to weather and safety constraints WQ lab staff will be taking samples to establish water quality with a view to lifting the notices at the earliest possible juncture.

Youghal FS, Fountainstown, Warren, Garrettstown, Tragumna, Coolmain, Garryvoe, Barleycove, Cadogans, Red Strand, Rocky Bay, Oysterhaven and Ballynamona.
