Cllr Dominic Finn, deputising for the Mayor of the County of Cork with members of the Electronic Music Council at the launch of Cultur Night Cork County.

From music and visual arts, to theatre, literature, and craft, Cork County is in for a treat with over 120 free events taking place for Culture Night 2024. Now in its 19th year, Culture Night Cork County, supported by the Arts Council and Cork County Council, offers a unique opportunity for communities to come together and celebrate the diverse cultural offerings in their locality.

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Joe Carroll said,

Each year, Culture Night is a calendar highlight for the arts in Cork. The richness and diversity of the events planned is a testament to the dedicated local volunteers all around Cork County who make this night such a huge success. Whatever you are into, theatre, music, poetry, painting and everything in between, there is an event for you in September. I’m looking forward to sampling some of them myself, and no doubt meeting some of you along the way on the night.

As well as a huge array of events taking place from 4pm, this year sees two special late night music experiences taking place at Sirius Arts Centre, Cobh featuring the Electronic Music Council, and Connolly’s of Leap with a host of musicians and DJs from Ireland and Cork alongside international guests. Among the artists performing, Connolly’s of Leap presents Icelandic composer JFDR and former Underworld musician Darren Emerson.
