Strategic Policy Committees

The statutory basis for SPCs is set out in section 48 of the Local Government Act 2001 as amended by section 48(1a) of the Local Government Reform Act 2014.

There are eight Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs) in Cork County Council. These are:

  2. Environment, Climate Action & Biodiversity
  3. Economic Development & Enterprise
  4. Tourism
  5. Housing
  6. Roads & Transport
  7. Social Inclusion, Community & Rural Development
  8. Arts, Culture, & Languages
