Scoil Naomh Padriag Art Show Case - Cruinniú na nÓg Programme

Exhibition

Visual Art (painting, photographs, sculpture, etc)

As part of My Creative Wish, a 3rd class pupil from Scoil Naomh Padraig  wished to learn about Fashion Design. Over 6 weeks ahead of Cruinniú na nÓg artist Etaoin Meville will work with this pupil and her classmates to explore different mediums, materials and techniques.

The children will create moodboards, decorate a giant backdrop and tie dye canvas bags. On  Cruinniú na nÓg, June 15th every child in the school will be encouraged to submit one piece of their favourite artwork from this school year. This will include a photographic display of some the children's work from an earlier project. These will be on display in Scoil Naomh Padraig's large halla on walls, tables and portable display boards. 3rd class pupils  will showcase (display/wear) their creations from the fashion workshops.

In conjunction with this they will have a continuous reel of photographs on a large screen of all third class pupils with their creations. These photos will be taken during a photoshoot on  the last workshop. The children's families will be invited to attend the event. Children will discuss the creative process and their finished pieces with the staff and their families.
