Open Call for 'Made By Hands', a Winter Exhibition in Cork County Council's LHQ Gallery
Cork County Council’s LHQ Gallery is now accepting submissions for an open call winter exhibition. Entitled ‘Made By Hands’, the exhibition will showcase handmade works from Irish artists, designers, and craftspeople from the 22nd of November until the 23rd of December.
Applications to participate in the exhibition will be accepted online though the link at the bottom of the page until close of business on the 7th of October.
Works must be existing and can be 2d including, painting, photography, print, drawing, or mixed media; or 3d works including ceramics, sculpture, textiles, books, etc. Works should be small or medium in scale. Works will be accepted from artists, designers, and craftspeople living on the island of Ireland. If selected, the work must be delivered to LHQ Gallery by the artist or their representative (works must be delivered by hand). LHQ Gallery takes no commission on sales and any inquiries for sales will be directed to the artist by the Arts Office.
LHQ Gallery is a space dedicated to visual arts for the people of Cork based in the County Library building on Carrigrohane Road. This is the second year LHQ Gallery will host an open call winter exhibition. In 2023, ‘Small Things Like These’ featured almost 100 works by 85 artists, craftspeople, and designers which were small in scale.
