Cork County Council will be opening Books of Condolence in memory of former Fine Gael Councillor Tadgh O’Donovan Trá at Cork County Hall and Skibbereen Library.

Tadgh O’Donovan Trá was first elected to Cork County Council in 1991 and served until June 2009. He was Mayor of the County of Cork from 2003 to 2004.

Mayor Carroll said,

Tadgh O’Donovan Trá was a man of integrity, honour and entered politics to serve his community which he did so well. He was a gentleman; a great colleague and I had the pleasure of working with him on many joint projects for Skibbereen during the five years we served together. Tadgh’s dedication to Skibbereen shone through in everything he did and he will be sadly missed.

The books will be open at Cork County Hall from 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday and at Skibbereen Library from 9.30am to 5.30pm Tuesday to Saturday.
