TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-6278-15 (Part of) Ballymurphy North, Innishannon, Co. Cork –from Ballymurphy North 4 Cross Roads to Ballymurphy South 3 Cross Roads.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 25th of July 2022 to 17:00hrs Friday 29th July 2022.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Cattle Underpass Construction.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access closed road from the north side shall divert east along L-6279-0, turn right onto L-6280-18 at Killeens Cross Roads, continue on to L-6280-0 to approach closed road from the opposite side.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-96-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 29th June 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.00hrs on Monday 8th August, 2022 to 17.00hrs on Friday 12th August, 2022.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Construction of a Cattle Underpass.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling from Rylane to Cork or Donoughmore/Mallow, should detour right at Convent Cross, onto the L-2750 as far as Killeenleigh Cross. There traffic should turn left onto the R-619 and travel to Crean’s Cross. There, traffic for Cork should turn right onto the R-579 and continue on for Cork. Traffic for Donoughmore/Mallow should remain on the R-619 and continue straight through the junction for Donoughmore/Mallow.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

From 08:00 hours on Monday 8th August, 2022 to 18:00 on Friday 26th August, 2022 (24hr Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of New Watermain.
Alternative Routes
From the west: Proceed along Main Street ((R592). Turn right onto Pier Road (L-4411-0). Continue along South Terrace (L-4411-0) to the junction with Colla Road. End detour.
From the east: Follow Alternative Route signs onto Pier Road (L-4411-0), South Terrace onto Colla Road. End detour.
From the south: Turn right off the Colla Road onto South Terrace (L-4411-0). Turn left on to Main Street (R592). Proceed to the junction of Main Street and Colla Road. End detour.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
