ROADWORKS SPEED LIMIT ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 2004

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 10 (1) of the Road Traffic Act 2004, as amended, that a Road Works Speed Limit Order has been made to to facilitate the safety of roadworkers and traffic during the duration of works on the N71 Glaslinn Road / Clare O’Leary Walk Active Travel Extension Project. along the N71 Glaslinn Road between Bandon and Innishannon, Co. Cork.

N71 Glaslinn Road / Clare O’Leary Walk Active Travel Extension Project

Existing speed limit (KPH): 100km/h
Temporary speed limit to apply (KPH): 60km/h.

Location where temporary speed limit is to apply:

Road Location – N71 Glaslinn Road between Bandon and Innishannon, Co. Cork.

The introduction of a temporary speed limit of 60km/h in both directions of the N71 from the existing 60/100km/h Speed Limit Sign at the approach to Bandon Town to a point approximately 2.9km East at Curranure (from Easting 550541, Northing 555922 to Easting 552595, Northing 557478).

Period for which temporary speed limit will apply:

 From Monday 1st July 2024 to Tuesday 31st December 2024 or such earlier date as may be determined by Cork County Council.

The purpose of the temporary speed limit is to facilitate the safety of roadworkers and traffic during the duration of works on the N71 Glaslinn Road / Clare O’Leary Walk Active Travel Extension Project.
