Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-9712 and L-3234 Market Square and Market Place, Kinsale, Co Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 21:00hrs to 07:00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Monday 19th May 2025 to Friday 23rd May 2025.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate surveying and relining works on the existing sewer infrastructure.
Alternative Routes
Continue on Guardwell Road; onto Main Street.; turn left onto Emmet Place; left onto R605, Pearse Street; continue on R605, New Road; turn left onto Barrack St. and finally onto Cork Street.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-24-2025, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 16th April 2025. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
