Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-6984 (Part of) Knockraha, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 09.00hrs to 13.00hrs on Tuesday 23rd January, 2024 (Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Urgent Utility Maintenance.

Alternative Routes

From the 3 Cross Roads, Knockraha, travel south along the L-2964 to the junction with the L-6989. Turn left onto the L-6989 travelling east towards Leamlara. After approximately 2km turn left onto the L-69841 travelling north towards Knockraha.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-213-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 10th January 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
