Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

R-619-399 Ballydahin, Mallow, Co. Cork - from Church View (L-1244-0) to Mallow Bridge (R-620-28).

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 12:00hrs on Sunday 24th March 2024 to 16:00hrs on Sunday 24th March 2024 (Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Mallow AC 10 Mile Road Race Finish Line.

Alternative Routes

Eastbound traffic on R-619 will divert to Church View, L-1244-0, turn left to R-620-28 and return to Mallow Bridge. 

Westbound traffic will continue south on R-620-28, turn right to Church View, L-1244-0 and return to R-619.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-7-2024, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 7th February 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
