Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
R603-0 (Part), Pearse Street, Bandon, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Friday 16th of August 2024 to 20:00hrs on Friday 6th of September 2024. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate road and footpath reconstruction.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to traverse Pearse Street, shall divert right onto Bridge Lane (L-2055-0), then turn right onto St Patricks Quay (L-2057-0), turn right onto Market Street (R603-0) followed by a left turn onto South Main Street (L-2021-31) followed by a right turn onto Weir Street (L-2050-0), follow the road along McSwiney Quay, turn right onto St Finbarr Place (R586-0 and then R603-0) to approach the closed road from the opposite side.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-75-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 10th July 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L1403 (Western Section of), Ballyadeen, Castletownroche, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) from Tuesday 6th August 2024 to Friday 23rd August 2024.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
From Castletownroche at Grotto, remain eastwards on N72, onwards to L5750 via Ballyhooley, onwards to L5653, which will return to L1403. Reverse in opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

L-2207 Station Road, Aherla, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs to 20:00hrs (Daily Closure) from Tuesday 13th August 2024 to Wednesday 21st August 2024.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
Northbound traffic: Follow the L-2216 west to Cloughduv, take the L-6420 north to the N22. Follow the N22 east to rejoin the L-2207 at Station Road.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
