Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Roads Subject of Proposed Closure

R613 Ballygarvan Road, Carrigaline, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 07:00hrs to 19:00hrs (Daily Closure) from Monday 12th August 2024 to Friday 30th August 2024.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.

Alternative Routes

From Fivemile Junction travel along the R600 and take the left on to the L2493 Forrest Road and for 5km until you meet the Upper Kilmoney Road Junction take the left hand turn on to the R611 Kilmoney Road.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-101-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 10th July 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 07:00hrs to 19:00hrs (Daily Closure) from Monday 29th July 2024 to Friday 16th August 2024.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.

Alternative Routes

Travelling from R613 Ballygarvan follow the L2473 to Ballinrea Cross and turn right to L2464 Ballinrea Road to Carrigaline.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-87-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 10th July 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-1201-0, L-1201-14, L-1201-31 Pallas Lombardstown to Blossomfort, Ballyclogh, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 08:00hrs on Monday 19th August 2024 to 17:00hrs on Friday 23rd August 2024. (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the construction of a cattle underpass, effluent holding tank and associated works.

Alternative Routes

North-bound traffic at Pallas, Lombardstown to continue east on N-72 towards Mallow, turn left to L-1206-0, Ballyclogh and continue north to junction with L-1201-31. 
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
