Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
R-883-0 - West End / Park Road Junction to Shortcastle Street, Mallow, Co.Cork.
R-930-0 - Shortcastle Street, Mallow, Co.Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 19:00hrs to 06:00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Monday 2nd September 2024 to Friday 27th September 2024.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
From N-72, West End continue on N-72 turning right to Park Road and turning left to Bridge Street before continuing via Spa Walk to junction with L-5331-0, Ballinlough Cross.
Turn left at Ballinlough Cross to L-5331-0, continue via L-1246-0, turn right to L-1207-54, Fair Street, turn left to L-1237-0, Batchelors Walk returning to R-930-0 at Beecher Street.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-109-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 23rd July 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
L-4612-0, Farnanes/Dromdrasdil, Dunmanway, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 18:00hrs to 24:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Saturday 17th August, 2024.
From 14:00hrs to 24:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Sunday 18th August, 2024.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Bridge Replacement.
Alternative Routes
For traffic from the east: from Shanacrane Cross/Keenrath proceed along the R585 to Kealkill. Turn left onto the L-8774-0, then left onto the L-8773-0 and proceed east through the townlands of Ardrah, Gortnacowly and Coomleagh to Mealagh Bridge.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
