Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

Northbound lane of the R626 Upper Mill Road, Midleton, Co. Cork – from a point immediately north of the Level Crossing to the Mill Road/Northern Relief Road traffic light Junction.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 08:00hrs on Monday 28th October 2024 to 19:00hrs on Saturday 2nd November 2024. (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the installation of new pipework at a new manhole for the new Uisce Éireann Midleton North wastewater pumping station.

Alternative Routes

Traveling Northbound detour via Market Green, Knockgriffin, Northern Relief Road and onward to R626 Upper Mill Road.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-131-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 20th, September 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
