Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-9418-0 Drury’s Avenue, Midleton from junction at Oliver Plunkett place & Sun Court Estate to junction with McDermott St. 

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 19:00hrs on Tuesday 29th October 2024 to 06:00hrs on Monday 4th November 2024 (Nightly Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Uisce Eireann to carry out relining works on the existing foul water infrastructure in the area. 

Alternative Routes

Via L-9403-0 Oliver Plunkett Place, turning left onto R907-0 Main St., Midleton onward to R627-0 Connolly St. rejoining L-9418-0 at its junction with McDermott St.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-137-2024, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 9th October, 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
