Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-6518 – Tower Road, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 00.01hrs on Monday 6th January 2025 to 24.00hrs on Sunday 6th April 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Roadworks being undertaken as part of the M28 Project.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling Eastwards along the L-6518 (Marsh Road), wishing to access locations east of the closed road, should turn left on to the L-6516 (Post Office Road), proceed in a northerly direction and turn right on to the N28. They should then turn right on to the L-6517 and proceed in a Southerly direction.
The same diversion route is to be utilized by traffic travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-148-2024, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 11th December, 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Bealaí Malartacha
Ba cheart go gcasfadh an trácht atá ag taisteal i dtreo an Oirthir feadh an L-6518 (Bóthar na Maí) a bhfuil sé i gceist aige rochtain a dhéanamh ar áiteanna ar an taobh thoir den bhóthar dúnta ar chlé ar an L-6516 (Bóthar Oifig an Phoist), go leanfadh sé ar aghaidh i dtreo an tuaiscirt agus go gcasfadh sé ar dheis ar an N28. Ba cheart dó casadh ar dheis ar an L-6517 ansin agus go leanfadh sé ar aghaidh i dtreo an Deiscirt.
Tá an bealach atreoraithe céanna le bheith in úsáid ag an trácht atá ag taisteal an treo eile.
Coinneofar Rochtain Áitiúil fad is a bheidh an dúnadh bóthair i bhfeidhm.
Ba cheart agóidí in aghaidh an dúnta bóthair shealadaigh molta seo a dhéanamh i scríbhinn, chuig an té a shínigh, ag lua na Tagartha: TRC-148-2024, nach déanaí ná 5pm Dé Céadaoin, an 11 Nollaig, 2024. Ba cheart go gcuirfí sonraí teagmhála fóin san áireamh leis an agóid.
