Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:

R619-91 Coachford, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 00:00hrs on Wednesday 19th March 2025 to 00:00hrs on Friday 4th April 2025. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the installation of new storm water drainage for new property development.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling South along the R619 towards Coachford should divert by turning left at the junction with the R579 (Creans Cross) and follow the R579 until the junction with the R622 in Cloghroe. Turn right onto the R622 and follow the road until the junction with the R618. Turn right onto the R618 and follow the road to Coachford.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

From 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Tuesday 25th March 2025 to Friday 28th March 2025.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate waste water/water connection.
Alternative Routes
Southbound Traffic: Follow R-618 (Main Street) east to junction with L-9301 (Chapel Hill). Follow L-9301 onto L-3414-41 (New Road) and onto Sleaveen.
Northbound Traffic: Divert via L-3430 (Sleaveen Hill). Turn east on R-584 to Harnetts Cross. Follow R-584 to Coachford Junction and R618 into Macroom Town Centre.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

To facilitate ducting installation for the Eirgrid project.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling Westbound on the R634 from Youghal at Summerfield Cross turn right and take the L3810 (New Line – Knocknacally) until you come to a STOP. Take the left on the L7894 and then take the first right on to the slip road in order to join the N25 (Youghal Bypass). Continue on the N25 Eastbound.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Alternative Routes
Travelling west take L-4031-37, L-4031-19 to Shannonvale Village, turn right and take L-4032-0 to rejoin R588 at Garranecore. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Take R588 south to join R880 in Clonakilty, turn right and take N71 to Dunmanway Cross to rejoin R599. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

From the L-4015-0 closed road junction, travel north-east along the N71, turn right at Convent Road junction onto the R600, turn right onto L-4021-0 at Timoleague, then turn right again while staying L-4021-0, then approach in proximity to the opposite end of the closed route by Aghawadda Cross Roads.

Traffic intending to access the L-8100-0, shall divert at Aghawadda Cross Roads, shall divert south along the L-4021-25 to School House Cross, then turn left onto L-4018-61 and travel to Lislevane to approach the closed route from the opposite side.

Take L-4007-52, L-4007-27, L-4007-0 west to Rathbarry via Hayes Cross Roads. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

From the Derry Road off the N71, to Gallane via the R598, down to Ballyvireen and onto Andersons Bridge. Then onto Drombeg Road via the R598, passing Cregg, Carriglusky, Kilfinnan and onto Killacoosane. Take the high road up to Maulagow, onto Cloonties finishing up at Inchnanoon.
Alternative Routes
Take N71 West to Leap and left onto the R597 back into Glandore. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Stage 15 & 18 Sams Cross (10.50hrs to 18.15hrs)

From Gortroe Cross Roads to N71, Pike near Lisavaird Hall via Cashel, Reenascreena South, Reenascreena North, Maulyregan, Foxhall, Cahermore, Killeigh, Knockfeen, Caherbeg, Freahanes, Coolcraheen, Tullyneasky West, Tullyneasky East.
Alternative Routes
Travelling east take L-4239-0 and N71 to Pike, Lisavaird. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

From 14:00hrs on Friday 14th March 2025 to 21:00hrs on Friday 14th March 2025 (Day Closure)
From 07:00hrs on Saturday 15th March 2025 to 18:30hrs on Saturay 15th March 2025 (Day Closure)
From 09:00hrs on Sunday 16th March 2025 to 15:45hrs on Sunday 16th March 2025 (Day Closure)
Alternative Routes
Take N71 North to Ballinascarty. In Ballinascarty turn left and take L-4031-37, L-4031-10 to Shannonvale. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
In addition, it is proposed to close all adjoining public roads for a distance of 205 metres from the junctions with the roads listed above.
Local Access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closures.
