Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-7630-0 Broomfield West, Midleton, Co. Cork. (Waterworks Road to Meadowlands Lane).
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs Tuesday 1st April 2025 to 18:00hrs Friday 11th April 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate site investigation works for proposed Midleton IDL 38Kv duct route.
Alternative Routes
Via L-9425-1 Broomfield Village. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-13-2025, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 12th March 2025. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Carrigogna, Midleton, Co. Cork - L-36014-0 from 3 Cross Roads Carrigogna (Ballyedmond Hill) (L-3601, L-36014) to 3 Cross Roads Gortacrue (L-3610, L-36014).
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs Monday 7th April 2025 to 18:00hrs Friday 18th April 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate site investigation works for proposed Midleton IDL 38Kv duct route.
Alternative Routes
Via L-3601-85 Ballyedmond Hill, R626-0 Lisgoold Road and L-3610-25 onwards to Gortacrue. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Monday 14th April 2025 to 18:00hrs on Sunday 27th April 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the installation of ducting as part of the Celtic Interconnector Project.
Alternative Routes
At Summerfield Cross continue travelling Westbound towards Youghal Town Centre along the R634, take the first road to the right onto McCurtainstown, continue onto STOP then take road to right onto the R908 which leads onto Claycastle.
This stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
