Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-5036, Glenlara, Newmarket, Co Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday, 7th April 2025 to 18:00hrs on Sunday, 13th April 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the construction of a Cattle Underpass.
Alternative Routes
Traffic Travelling eastward from Ballydesmond/Glash on the R578, no turn left onto the L-5036, so traffic shall continue on the R578 towards Newmarket. Continue on the R578 to Coolagh Bridge. At Coolagh Bridge turn left on the L-1013 just after Shreelawn Oil. Continue on the L-1013 for 6km approx. to the townland of Inchantotane and turn left to rejoin the L-5036 form the North.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-15-2025, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday, 19th March, 2025. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Má tá tú mar chuid den trácht atá ag taisteal i dtreo an oirthir ó Bhaile Deasumhan/Glash ar an R578, níl aon chasadh ar chlé ar an L-5036 ann, mar sin leanfaidh an trácht ar aghaidh ar an R578 i dtreo Áth Trasna. Lean ar aghaidh ar an R578 chomh fada le Droichead na Cuaillí. Nuair a bheidh tú ag Droichead na Cuaillí, casfaidh tú ar chlé ar an L-1013 díreach i ndiaidh Shreelawn Oil. Lean ar aghaidh ar an L-1013 ar feadh thart ar 6km go dtí baile fearainn Inse an Tóiteáin agus cas ar chlé chun filleadh ar an L-5036 ón taobh Thuaidh.
Tá an bealach atreoraithe a luaitear infheidhme droim ar ais nuair atá tú ag taisteal an treo eile.

L-6518 – Tower Road, Ringaskiddy, Co.Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 00.01 on Monday, 7th April 2025 to 24.00 on Friday, 6th June 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Roadworks being undertaken as part of the M28 Cork to Ringaskiddy Motorway Project.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling Eastwards along the L-6518 (Marsh Road), wishing to access locations east of the closed road, should turn left on to the L-6516 (Post Office Road), proceed in a northerly direction and turn right on to the N28. They should then turn right on to the L-6517 and proceed in a Southerly direction.
The same diversion route is to be utilized by traffic travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Ba cheart don trácht atá ag taisteal i dtreo an Oirthir feadh an L-6518 (Bóthar na Maí), a bhfuil sé i gceist aige rochtain a fháil ar áiteanna ar an taobh thoir den bhóthar dúnta, casadh ar chlé ar an L-6516 (Bóthar Oifig an Phoist), leanúint ar aghaidh i dtreo an tuaiscirt agus casadh ar dheis ar an N28 ansin. Ba cheart don trácht casadh ar dheis ar an L-6517 ansin agus leanúint ar aghaidh i dtreo an Deiscirt.
