Local authorities must identify official bathing areas in their area every year so that they can be monitored for safety, water quality and their level of use.
Derryconnell Civic Amenity Site will open from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday the 14th of May to Tuesday the 4th of June inclusive. The site will be closed to the public on Saturday the 18th of May.
As a result of the Status Orange Wind Warning issued by Met Éireann for Cork on Saturday 6th of April, Cork County Council has taken the decision to close all of its Civic Amenity Sites on this date.
The following Civic Amenity Sites (CAS) will remain closed on Good Friday 29th March: Castletownbere CAS, Derryconnell CAS (Schull), Clonakilty CAS, Bandon CAS, Skibbereen Bring Site.
Due to operational issues Castletownbere Civic Amenity Site will be opening at 10.30am and closing at 3.30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays for the next 5 weeks.
