Call for Arts Facilitators in all Arts Disciplines

Introduction

Cork County Council’s Arts Office is updating it's panel of experienced and skilled arts facilitators in all arts disciplines. Selected artists will work in a range of different settings throughout the county, which can include facilitating and co-creating once off and medium-term quality arts projects with people of all ages.

For example, artists from the panel may facilitate projects as part of;

  • Arts in Libraries Programme;
  • Youth and Community Projects;
  • Creative Ireland Programme;
  • Frameworks: Arts collection in Schools;
  • Arts in Older age;
  • Cruinniú na ng nÓg;
  • Neighbourhood and county-wide festivals and events.

The Panel will be in place from 2025 - 2027. If you are already on the panel, you do not need to reapply.

Artists Panel Application Process:

  • Applicants must complete the Application Form and submit by the deadline of Sunday 2nd March 2025.
  • Applicants must submit a Curriculum Vitae outlining previous experience, 3 examples of previous work / projects and the names, job titles and contact details of two referees. Referees will only be contacted at the shortlisting phase.
  • Applicants must meet the ‘Selection Criteria’ as per the application form.
  • Evidence and documentation of previous projects is required to inform the assessment process.

Assessment Criteria:

  • Artistic quality.
  • Facilitation Methodologies.
  • Expertise and track record.
  • Suitability for Cork County Council Arts Engagement Programme.

Remuneration:

Cork County Council complies with the Arts Council Policy on paying the artist. Any work opportunities will be agreed between Cork County Council and the Facilitator as a Contract of Services, this will include the agreed level of remuneration.

Child Safeguarding:

In accordance with the national Child Protection Guidelines Section 11 of the Children’s First Act 2015, the selected candidate will be required to follow child protection procedures as specified in the Cork County Council Child Safeguarding Statement (June 2021) and will be subject to Garda Vetting by Cork County Council.

Freedom of Information:

The provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 apply to Cork County Council. Applicants should state if any of the information supplied by them is confidential or sensitive and should not be disclosed to a request for information under the Act. Applicants should state why they consider the information to be confidential or commercially sensitive.

Terms and conditions:

Cork County Council Arts Office reserves the right to not select applications if none are deemed to be suitable. In this instance, Cork County Council reserves the right to pursue a different procurement process. Cork County Council reserves the right to work with artists/facilitators on these programmes from outside the selected panel if required.
