Stage Two - Draft Cork County Council Climate Action Plan 2024-2029 Public Consultation
The Council produced the Draft Cork County Council Climate Action Plan 2024-2029 which was published on the 13th of October 2023.
The draft Plan was subject to a period of public consultation between Friday 13th of October to Monday 27th of November, 4pm.
Cork County Council hosted an online public information webinar on the Draft Climate Action Plan 2024-2029 on Friday 17th November 2023. This online webinar included presenters from the local authority, including the Climate Action Coordinator, as well as a guest speaker from University College Cork.
The Draft Plan sets out how Cork County Council will be responsible for enhancing climate resilience, increasing energy efficiency, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, across its own assets, services, and infrastructure, to which it is fully accountable for, whilst also demonstrating a broader role of influencing, advocating, and facilitating other sectors, to meet their own climate targets and ambitions.
