Proposed Traffic Calming Scheme at R586 Enniskean Village

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, Cork County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to introduce the following road works on the R586 Enniskean Village;

  • Installation of Buildouts,
  • Installation of new controlled pedestrian crossing,
  • Installation of new footpath on southern carriageway edge with introduction of flexible bollards to prevent parking on same,
  • Renewal of sections of existing footpaths,
  • Introduction of central ghost hatching,
  • Planting, landscaping and all associated works.

Drawings and particulars of the proposed project are available for inspection at Cork County Council, Dunmanway Municipal Engineering Office, Swimming Pool Complex, Bantry Road, Dunmanway, Co. Cork, P47 EV67 and may be inspected during normal office hours from Friday 22nd July, 2022 to Friday 19th August, 2022 inclusive.

Submissions regarding the proposal may be made in writing to the above office or by email to dunmanwayroadsoperations@corkcoco.ie on or before 5pm on Friday 26th August, 2022.
