Local Improvement Scheme
A Local Improvement Scheme is a scheme for carrying out improvement works on private/non-public roads. Cork County Council may carry out the works subject to the Department of Rural & Community Development providing the necessary funding for the Scheme.
A local financial contribution from applicants of 10% will apply for eligible roads with up to and including 5 householders/landowners, or 15% for eligible roads with 6 or more householders/landowners. The maximum amount of contribution payable by any individual household/landowner is capped at €1,200, provided all beneficiaries are contributing to the cost of the works.
