Cork County Council calls for expressions of interest as part of the annual national celebration of arts, culture and creativity.

Cork County Council, in conjunction with the OPW Art Management Group, is inviting proposals for the development of a creative residency under the Per Cent for Art allocation for Bandon Flood Relief Scheme.

128 Artists and arts organisations are set to receive funding of over €166,000 from Cork County Council through its 2024 Arts Grants Scheme. Considering the scheme at their meeting on Monday February 12th Councillors noted that there has been a sharp rise in applications to the Arts Grants Scheme over the past two years. 

Cork County Council’s Library and Arts Service is seeking creative facilitators and musicians to work with them over the next two years. 

Cork County Council has opened application for the Creative Startup Scheme 2024. The scheme supports artists, designers and craftspeople to establish retail spaces, as well as reinforcing the Council’s work in revitalising commercial centres in towns and villages. 

Cork County Council and Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre are delighted to announce a partnership residency for artists Patsy Tyrrell & Fiona Boniwell. Taking place in April and May 2024, this partnered residency supports artists seeking opportunities to research and develop their practice, and engage with Uillinn, local and diverse communities and the public. The award includes a studio space for 4 weeks at Uillinn and a stipend of €2,500 each. Both residencies are funded by the Cork County Council Arts Service.

Cork County Council’s Library Head Quarter Gallery is excited to present ‘The Books We Haven’t Read’ a solo exhibition by Elize de Beer. The exhibition, which includes a series of screenprints, a large-scale paper tapestry and artist’s books, presents the idea that there is more power to the books we have not yet read than the ones we have.
