Five County Cork Communities Nominated for Pride of Place Awards

Cork County Council has confirmed five community nominations for the 2023 IPB Pride of Place Awards, in association with Co-operation Ireland. Now in its 21st consecutive year, the Pride of Place Competition acknowledges the work being done every day by communities all over the island of Ireland.

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Danny Collins Opens New Playground for Ballinhassig

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Danny Collins has officially opened a new playground in Ballinhassig. The nature-inspired playground incorporates natural play spaces that are designed to adapt to their setting. Located in the heart of the village on a 2-acre community park, the project was managed by Cork County Council with input from Ballinhassig Village Association.

South Cork Students Set for Entrepreneurship Final

Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Office South Cork has announced that teenage entrepreneurs from Coláiste Muire, Cobh will represent South Cork at this year’s Student Enterprise Programme National Finals on Friday 5th May.  The finals make a return to Croke Park for the first time since 2019.
