Pride in our Community Competition 2023 Launched
Cork County Federation Muintir na Tire is very pleased to announce that Pride in Our Community 2023 competition will take place this year.
Sponsored by Cork County Council and Cork City Council, “Pride in our Community “is a competition open to all Community and Voluntary groups Cork City and Cork County.
Speaking at the launch, Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Danny Collins said
Mr. Sean Holland of Muintir na Tire said that he would like to thank Cork County Council for their long association with the competition since 2005. He went on to welcome on board Cork City Council again for 2023. He said groups could enter if they have developed or are in the process of improving amenities in their local community.
Sean went on to give examples of the types of projects previously entered. Community walks and trails, Playgrounds, Community Fields, Community Centre renovations Upgrades to monuments and amenity areas, River clean-ups, Community Signs, Murals Biodiversity areas, Community gardens, allotments, Graveyard restoration, Floral displays on streetscape, All weather facilities, tree planting, Floral bedding etc. He said the list is endless and community groups should feel free to enter new and innovative projects.
