Cork County Represented at National Enterprise Awards 2021

County Cork business Complete Calibrations Ltd has been announced as a finalist for this year’s National Enterprise Awards.  An initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, the awards take place virtually on February 11th and will celebrate small enterprises, recognising excellence in exporting, sustainability and innovation, with eight regional awards and an overall National Enterprise Awards winner.

Cork County Council Launch Spring Series of Online Writing Workshops

Cork County Council’s Library & Arts Service is delivering a new series of free online writing workshops for Spring 2021, designed to support creative writing throughout the county. Six online courses begin in mid-February, catering to a variety of ages and styles including adults, teens, songwriters, crime-writers, fiction and non-fiction. These workshops will continue the success of online workshops and collectives hosted by the Council throughout 2020, to foster creativity in the community for Cork County residents.

Being Winter Ready - Salt Bins for Residents Associations & Community Groups

As part of Cork County Council’s Winter Service Plan, a limited number of salt bins are being made available to Residents Associations and Community Groups on a shared funding basis. Under this initiative, the Council will make bins and salt available at a subsidized rate to aid Community Groups and residents in dealing with icy road and footpath conditions in areas that are not covered by the Council’s Road Treatment Routes.
