ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R584 (Part of) Toonsbridge, Macroom, Co. Cork – from Toonsbridge to Hartnett’s Cross.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.00hrs on Monday 20th September, 2021 to 20.00hrs Friday 1st October, 2021.
(Daily Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing Works

Alternative Routes
Westbound Traffic: At Hartnett’s Cross remain on the N22 travelling east to Stage Cross, Crookstown. Take the R590 towards Crookstown and then take the R-585 through Beal na Blath, Coppeen and onto Gloun Cross. Take the R-587 through Kilmichael and onto Toons Bridge.

The reverse of this diversion route applies to traffic intending to travel east through Toons Bridge.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-105-2021, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 1st September, 2021. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
