Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L7836 Mount Bell, Killeagh, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 00:01hrs on Thursday 20th June 2024 to 23:59hrs on Friday 28th June 2024. (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate construction of a pedestrian and cycle crossing point as part of the Midleton to Youghal Greenway.

Alternative Routes

Eastbound: L3809 to N25.

Westbound: Same route in reverse.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-52 -2024, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 17th May 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
