Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

R-628-89 (Section of), Kilclare, Conna, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Sunday 7th July 2024 to Friday 26th July 2024.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate road resurfacing.

Alternative Routes

Traffic heading west, detour onto the L-1516 in Conna via the school road and westwards via the L-1521 and L-1520 to Castlelyons School Cross and South via the L-1519 to O’ Leary’s Cross, back onto the R628.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse for traffic heading east at O’ Leary’s Cross.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-59-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Thursday 30th May 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
