Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-2497 Upper Road, Crosshaven, Co. Cork – between Middle Road and Lower Road.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) from Tuesday 6th August 2024 to Friday 23rd August 2024.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate resurfacing and traffic calming works as part of Scoil Bhríde Safe Routes to School Project

Alternative Routes

Via R612 Lower Road, L2498 The Square, L2500 Graball Road, L6420 Brightwater.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-76-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 28th June 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
