Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-2216 Kilumney West, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs to 20:00hrs (Daily Closure) from Wednesday 14th August 2024 to Thursday 22nd August 2024.
Note that this closure will not be put in place until closure TRC 82- 2024 on the L-2207-0 is complete.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
Eastbound Traffic: Divert north along L-2207 at Station Road, Aherla for the N22. Take the N22 east to junction 3 on the Ballincollig By-Pass and follow the signs for Kilumney.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-83-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 2nd July 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

R-512-52 (Section of), Scart, Kildorrery, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) from Monday 12th August 2024 to Friday 30th August 2024.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
From Kildorrery village side, remain on N73, onwards to L1235, onwards to L1438, onwards to L1401, onwards to L1402, which will return to R512. Reverse in opposite direction from Glanworth side.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
