Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
L-4747-0, Farmer’s Lane, Reenrour East, Bantry, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 26th August 2024 to 18:00hrs on Wednesday 28th August 2024. (24hr Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate service connections to foul sewer and water main.
Alternative Routes
From the Ballylickey direction, continue on the N71 (Glengarriff Road) to next junction, L-4746, George’s Row. Turn right onto George’s Row and finally turn right onto Old Barrack Road, L-4745.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access either side of the works will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-100-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 17th July 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
