Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-4040-0, Patrick Street (one way section), Clonakilty, Co. Cork - from junction with Assumption Place to junction with Oliver Plunkett Street.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 08:00hrs on Monday 23rd September, 2024 to 20.00hrs on Friday 18th October, 2024 (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Drainage and Resurfacing Works.

Alternative Routes

Continue on Old Chapel Lane (L-4037) west to Ballinattin Crossroads. Turn left and take R588 to Fernhill Road junction and turn left on R880 Western Road to Oliver Plunkett Street.

Local Access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-125-2024, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 4th September, 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
