Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-8421-0 Ardmanagh, Schull Co. Cork – Closed between L-8421-0 and L-84211-0 junction and L-8421-0 and L-4410-0 junction.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 27th of January 2025 to 18:00hrs on Friday 14th of February 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate installation of new water main.
Alternative Routes
Westbound (from Schull Town) – Continue westwards on the L-4410-0 towards the T-junction. Turn right and continue to the L-4410-0/L-8410-0 junction. Diversion route will be signposted.
Eastbound (from L-8421-0 and L-84211-0 junction) – Head south along L-8421-0 towards the L-8421-0 and L-4410-0 junction. Turn Left at the junction onto the L-4410-0 and continue along L4410-0. Diversion route will be signposted.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-152-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 11th December 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
