Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-3613-0 Gortacrue, Co Cork – (part) at Gortacrue from junction with L3610-25 to junction with L3614-0.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 06:00hrs on Monday 24th February 2025 to 18:00hrs on Friday 14th March 2025.  (24hr Closure).  
Note: The road will not be closed at the same time at the section of the L3613 at Ballyspillane Cross. 

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the installation of ducting as part of the Celtic Interconnector Project.

Alternative Routes

L3614, R627, R907, R626 and L3610.  The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.  

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.  

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-01-2025, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 24th January 2025. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
