East Cork Municipal District Announce Paint Scheme

Cork County Council’s East Cork Municipal District has announced the 2022 Paint Programme which will provide a financial assistance to building owners and occupiers in the main streets of both Youghal and Midleton towns.

The fund will allow for investment in the visual appearance and maintenance of commercial buildings by way of a maximum of a 50% grant towards painting a business facade in both towns. A similar grant is also available for ‘heritage type’ signage over shop fronts.

For the first time, the painting scheme will also extend to the key villages of Killeagh, Castlemartyr and Cloyne.

It is hoped that the programme will help to improve the character, appearance and overall attractiveness of these historic and valued areas across East Cork.
