Update from Cork County Council on Fire Incident in Ringaskiddy (Bilingual)
The fire was brought under control at 10AM. The fire remains contained. Fire Service Crews are maintaining a presence on site to expose and extinguish any hot spots that may exist within the storage facility.
As Fire Crews manage this incident and remove panels from the structures to access hot spots, any flare up may produce fresh smoke.
Cork County Council would like to reassure members of the public that this is a standard approach to managing an incident such as this, which involves natural, organic animal feed.
Any smoke arising from the site is as a result of this organic animal feed material.
Fire Crews will remain on site throughout the night.

Is féidir le Comhairle Contae Chorcaí a dhearbhú gur tuairiscíodh eachtra i Stóras Gráin R & H Hall ag 8.40rn ar maidin. Tháinig criúnna ar an láithreán ag 9.00rn le foirne ó Charraig Uí Leighin, an Cóbh agus Bun an Tábhairne mar aon le fearas aeir ó Mhainistir na Corann agus Feithicil Cheannais ó Dhroichead na Bandan. Níor tuairiscíodh aon ghortuithe mar thoradh ar an eachtra seo. Chuir Calafort Chorcaí gach oibríocht loingseoireachta ar fionraí i Rinn an Scidígh, ach táthar ag súil go n-atosnóidh an loingseoireacht ar maidin.
Tugadh an tine faoi smacht ag 10rn. Tá an tine shrianta go fóill. Tá Criúnna na Seirbhíse Dóiteáin ag coimeád láithreacht ar an láithreán chun aon spotaí te a d’fhéadfadh a bheith ann laistigh den tsaoráid stórála a nochtadh agus a mhúchadh.
De réir mar a bhainistíonn na Foirne Dóiteáin an eachtra seo agus painéil a bhaint de na struchtúir chun rochtain a fháil ar spotaí te, féadfaidh aon bhladhm deatach úr a tháirgeadh.
