TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L-1036 Boherbue, Mallow, Co. Cork - from Kilnahulla Cross to Gorteragh Cross

Period of Proposed Closure 
From 08.00hrs on Monday 16th May, 2022 to 17.00hrs on Friday 27th May, 2022 (Daily Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Strengthening

Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling from Kanturk should divert left at Gorteragh Cross onto the L-1033/L-1109 signposted for Boherbue and continue on the L-1109 into Boherbue Village. In Boherbue Village, turn right onto the R577 signposted for Ballydesmond. Continue on the R577 passed the graveyard and turn right at Charlie’s Cross onto the L-1035 signposted for Taur. Continue on the L-1035 to Kilnahulla Cross. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction. 


Traffic travelling from Newmarket should continue straight on the L-1033/L-1109 at Gorteragh Cross to Boherbue and continue on the L-1033/L-1109 into Boherbue Village. In Boherbue Village, turn right onto the R577 signposted for Ballydesmond. Continue on the R577 passed the graveyard and turn right at Charlie’s Cross onto the L-1035 signposted for Taur.  Continue on the L-1035 to Kilnahulla Cross. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction. 

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should  be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-47-2022, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 12th April, 2022.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L-4603-50 (Part of) Tarelton, Co. Cork - Tarelton to Annabology Cross

Period of Proposed Closure 
From 08.30hrs on Monday 9th May, 2022 to 17.00hrs on Friday 13th May, 2022.
(Daily Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.

Alternative Routes
Northbound Traffic:  Take the L-4604 west to Kilmichael, follow the R-587 north to Dromcarra.  Take the L-4601 north and east to Tooms West.  Take the L-3420-38 to Annabology Cross.  Use the same route in reverse for traffic in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-48 -2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 13th April, 2022.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
