UPDATE 22/08/2024: The Barleycove pontoon has now reopened.

Due to adverse weather conditions the Barleycove pontoon will be closed from 4pm this afternoon. The situation will be kept under review and the pontoon will be reopened when conditions allow and following an inspection.

Notice to Mariners No. 12 of 2024

Cork County Council has announced that, following comprehensive follow-up monitoring by its Environment Directorate, and in consultation with HSE, that the Advisory Notices (Not to Swim) have been lifted at Owenahincha and at the Warren Beach (Cregane), Rosscarbery. 

UPDATE: Castletownbere Civic Amenity Site is now scheduled to open with reduced hours on Wednesday August 21st, from 10:30am – 3:30pm.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road.

UPDATE 15/08/24: The Advisory Notice (Do Not Swim) has been lifted.

Due to high levels of bacteria in the bathing water, in the interest of public health, an Advisory Notice (Not to Swim) has been issued for Owenahincha Beach, in consultation with the HSE. Further microbiological tests are being carried out today and in the coming days.

Due to recent localised storm conditions, in the interest of public health, a precautionary Advisory Notice (Not to Swim) has been issued for the Warren Beach, in consultation with the HSE. Microbiological tests are being carried out today and in the coming days.

Please be advised that our Charleville Office will be closed on Monday, August 12th and Tuesday, August 13th to facilitate building works.
